ARC Strategic Plan

General ARC Goals for the Future:

  1. Increase outreach activities and community involvement

    1. Continue and enhance current activities such as support for ASDP summer workshops and institutes.

    2. Set up a mini-grant program for ARC institutions from the ARC treasury.

    3. Establish procedures for more collaborative opportunities among ARC institutions and organized rotation of workshops and programs; in addition, share resources through such means as the video reproduction of speakers.

  2. Disseminate scholarly and pedagogical work of ASDP and ARC alumni to broader community of scholars.

    1. Stabilize East-West Connections through publisher identification.

    2. Evaluate and expand the electronic hosts of East-West Connections.

    3. Explore additional dissemination platforms.

  3. Develop an effective means of communication and collaboration between ARC institutions and ASDP.

    1. Utilize ASDP membership for created ARC programs and develop a directory of ARC members.

    2. Establish a more reflective and ongoing grant research steering committee for identifying grants, matching grants with agencies, and engender better coordination among ARC institutions with ASDP.
